Berkeley has been manufacturing pumps of many kinds since 1937. The Berkeley Jet Drive was introduced in 1960, and many thousands have been supplied to the boating public since then. Today Berkeley offers four 12J drives, each a little different but incorporating essentially the same basic features and using, where possible, many of the same parts for interchangeability.
Berkeley 12JC & 12JG Reverse Control Connector Kit
This kit is for hooking up your forward reverse cable with all the correct parts from Berkeley Jet
This kit includes:
12JI Pump w/Hydraulic Place Diverter, Transom Assembly Not Included (With Exchange)
This pump is the latest evolution of the family of Berkeley Jets With over a million pumps sold we've used our knowledge to develop the All New Berkeley 12JI Pump.
This pump begins its construction with a super tough, high strength aluminum alloy 356T alloy casting the strongest most serviceable aerospace material around Then each unit is CNC machined, hard anodized, and powder coated "Berkeley Whiteâ„¢".
Each unit is assembled using only the finest in stainless steel hardware, but its what's inside that counts. Starting with Berkeley's unique single stage mixed flow impeller that produces maximum thrust per horsepower. The 12JI Pump also incorporates a special trimming device allowing you to adjust your boat's attitude while underway through the use of a manual control. A hydraulic control is optional.
The 12JI Pump is sold as a pump only for replacement of inferior copy pumps or just a tired original Berkeley unit.
You can now take advantage of the factory to consumer special allowing you to trade in your old pump for credit towards the All New Berkeley 12JI.
Aluminum Impeller, Inducer & Shaft Kit
This do-it-yourself kit comes with a new 17-4 machined Aquamet shaft with the aluminum impeller, inducer, shaft sleeve, thrust bearing and snap ring pre-mounted.
Aluminum Rudder
If you're looking for some more low-speed maneuverability or improved high-speed tracking then here's your answer Berkeley manufactures two models of bolt-on rudders The first is an entry level economy plastic rudder, while the second is a sturdy cast aluminum version of the same rudder Note: The plastic unit will not survive in aggressive boating situations If you want durability then you need an aluminum rudder Rudders sold complete with pin and hardware.
Berkeley Jet Stickers 4" Wide x 1-1/2" Tall
Billet Bowl Stuffer
This billet aluminum stuffer mounts into the bowl directly behind theimpeller. By closing up this clearance the hydro flow dynamics of the waterexiting the impeller is substantially increased. The result is improved holeshot and acceleration.
Note: This bowl stuffer is for use with a non-shoulder wear ring.
Berkeley Jet Droop Snoot
Berkeley Factory Jet Pump Rebuild For: Berkeley, American Turbine, Legend, and Dominator
Stage 1 - Disassemble, clean, inspect all parts:
Berkeley Jet Stickers 8" Wide x 2-3/4" Tall
Berkeley "A" Master Overhaul Kit
To facilitate easier maintenance of your Berkeley pump, Berkeley Jet Drive has created three "Repair / Parts" Kits Each kit is applicable to all Berkeley Jet Drive Models: 12JB, 12JC, 12JG, 12JE, and 12JF. There are many people attempting to sell non-original replacement kits in an attempt to compete price wise They short sell or remove parts to try and compete with factory pricing Don't be mislead, get all that you pay for, demand authentic Berkeley parts!
"A" Master Overhaul Kit includes:
12JR Race Pump Only
If only the very ultimate pump is what you're looking for then this is it The 12JR Race Pump uses a severe duty Aquamet pump shaft, a lightened, balanced, and blueprinted stainless steel impeller, an inducer pre-loader impeller, and a double drilled bowl with a billet aluminum bowl stuffer. We then flow prep and clearance the assembly to race specifications and finish it off with a proven Berkeley Droop Snoot.
DESCRIPTION: The Model 12JE Jet-Drive is constructed of a super-tough, high-strength, aluminum alloy, castings the finest and most serviceable material available. Precision machined and hard-anodized, assembled with stainless steel fasteners, assures maximum performance with a minimum of maintenance. Dissimilar metals are protected from each other by inert insulators to retard corrosion. Using Berkeley's unique single stage, mixed flow, impeller, this unit gives maximum thrust per horsepower. Developed over a period of many years, and field tested, assures the user of the Model 12JE Jet-Drive many years of trouble-free boating. A popular unit with boat manufacturers because of its ease of installation in specially molded hulls.
APPLICATION: Designed for fast, simple installation in specially molded hulls measuring 14 to 24 feet in overall length, with a gross weight of not over 5,000 pounds per unit, including passengers and gear.
FEATURES: No intake adapter or transom housing required for simple bolt in installation in specially molded hulls. Entire unit located outside the hull, saving five inches. Lighter weight, 40 lbs. less than the 12JC. Only one rotating element, the shaft and impeller assembly. A single stage enclosed, mixed flow, impeller available in aluminum or stainless steel, machined to match horsepower involved. Replaceable, insulated impeller wear ring, machined to close tolerances for minimum bypass and high pump efficiency. Strong self-cleaning finger-type intake grate. Readily accessible and serviceable stuffing box-type shaft seal. Heavy duty, grease lubricated, ball-type, thrust bearing isolated and sealed for protection from accidental water damage. Easily accessible, outside the hull, hand hole for impeller clean out in the unlikely event of clogging. Long life, oil lubricated, sleeve-type, tail bearing, sealed from the water. Smooth working steering nozzle and reverse bucket for effortless steering in forward and reverse with low, side-mounted, controls. Nozzle 0 ring seal assures minimum spray. Long blade rudder for positive boat handling at low speeds with no appreciable loss in performance at higher speeds.
POWER REQUIREMENTS: Approximately 10 to 27 pounds gross boat weight requires 1 HP. Higher or lower speeds will be obtained as gross weight varies. Weight distribution, hull length and design are other factors affecting total boat performance. The standard aluminum alloy impeller is used with engines up to 400 HP; over 400 HP, a stainless steel impeller is recommended.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: Stainless steel impeller, shift-throttle controls, instrument panels, gauge clusters and wiring harnesses, intake fins and transom trim tabs, hull insert or mold plug.
DIMENSIONS / WEIGHT: Net weight approximately 85 pounds. Dimensions may vary and are for estimating only. Refer to catalog installation drawings for complete dimensions.
