This swivel shaft is made from 174-PH stainless steel and is heat treated for maximum strength. This stainless has the corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel. By using this shaft, the life of your gimbal ring and gimbal housing seal will be greatly increased. This shaft replaces OEM #98230A1 and #866718A01.

This U-bolt exceeds OEM strength with over 6,000 pounds of tensile strength.  The U-bolt is made of 17-4 stainless steel.  The nylon insert lock nuts are made of Monel, an extremely strong material used in military applications.  The U-Bolt kit fits Bravo Gimbal Rings and is an ideal upgrade for heavier boats and those running high horsepower engines.  This upgrade will help to eliminate gimbal ring and swivel shaft failure in your Bravo outdrive.  Replaces Mercury part numbers 10-805164 (U-bolt) and 11-862903 (Nuts). Fits all Bravo Outdrives.
