    The BBC engine in my boat had a competitors bypass kit which simply did not work with a thermostat installed. The temps would vary from 100 to 250 F and the water pressure would vary from 40 psi to 0. After a great consultation with the guys at CPP I decided to give this kit a try. I will say that it works perfectly. The temps leveled out between 120-150 depending on how hard I push the 520 HP BBC and the water pressure is constant at 10 PSI. The exhaust is noticeable cooler as well. Now with the temps consistent my oil temps come up between 200-220 and are constant as well. This crossover kit fixed everything.
