Not only are they outrageously beautiful they have some great design features. The rectangular side post supports are dual pin indexed providing extreme stability in all environments. These supports are completely machined from from one solid piece of billet aluminum, there are no welds to break. Available polished or in a variety of powder coated colors to match your application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Published dimensions on Optima Group 34 batteries usually list the overall length, width and height which is larger than the inside dimensions of this battery box. The base of the Optima Group 34 box is smaller than the overall width and will fit in the 9-3/4" x 6-1/2" recess on the battery box. If you are not sure, we recommend you measure the base of the Optima Group 34 battery you have to make sure it will fit in the recess, as well as the height to the top of the case, not to the top of the terminals so you can make sure it will fit within the 7" height limit.

These are the same as the 420-913027 battery boxes, but the castings came out rougher than our normal expected quality. The top casting has a rough finish and the logo is not cast properly. However, these are entirely 100% functional and the only issues are cosmetic. Limited quantities available.

MSD 6M-2L Marine Ignition with Rev Limiter

What do you get when you add a rev limiter to the MSD’s already bullet-proof 6M-2 Marine Ignition? The MSD 6M-2L! This ignition is designed for performance marine applications where a high energy and reliable ignition is a necessity. The capacitive discharge (CD) multiple sparks from the 6-series circuitry ensures easier starting, improved performance and reduced plug fouling while idling.

The MSD 6M-2L has the same mounting footprint as the original unit, so it will easily fit into existing brackets. The proven Soft-Touch rev limiting action is set using our marine rpm modules so you’ll be able to set a rev limit exactly where your engine needs it.

The 6M-2L is built to deal with constant high rpm and load conditions unique to marine applications. To protect the 6M-2L’s electrical circuitry from direct water contact, the entire unit is potted with red polyurethane. This material prevents the electrical components from coming into contact with water or other chemicals that could cause damage. Weathertight connectors with multi-ribbed seals are unaffected by water, oil, gasoline and most other chemicals associated with boats.

The 6M-2L can be triggered by either a magnetic pickup (distributor or crank trigger), amplifier or by a breaker point distributor. The cable harness has the proper connector so you can plug the 6M-2L directly into one of MSD’s Pro-Billet Marine Distributors.

MSD has raised the bar and added an all-new UL listed marine ignition box to their lineup. The 6M-3L is a fully sealed unit with a single wiring connector makeing installation neat and easy.

Three rotary dials and an LED display simplfy setting the cylinder select, start retard and rev limiter. Plug-in rev limiter chips and hard to read dials are a thing of the past. For diagnostic purposes, the LED display can also be set to a live tach mode on V8’s and even display battery voltage with the turn of a knob.

The 6M-3L is a capacitive discharge ignition that multi-sparks from idle to 3,000 RPM providing a clean idle and quick throttle response. Above 3,000, capacitive discharge sparks will run clean through 12,000 RPM . Boasting more features and higher spark energy than its predecessor, the 6M-3L is the performance upgrade your boat needs!
