These high performance 316 stainless steel cylinders feature a thicker wall than any other cylinder on the market. A superior brass piston and wiper assembly insure a long and trouble free cylinder life.
External Hydraulic steering systems are a must for any high performance boat. External steering rams lessen the load on the gimbal housing by evenly distributing engine torque. This means longer gimbal bushing life in high torque applications.
System selection and installation are simplified with just three major components: helm, cylinder and hose. Introducing the latest addition to the accomplished list of Zeiger Performance Marine products. After installing the ITS extension spacer plate the test boat accelerated quicker, was more stable running at top end speed, and had a better angle of attack while spanning the waves. It was more predictable while negotiating a turn and above all else it was 5 MPH faster. The test boat normally ran at 94-96 MPH with the standard ITS sterndrive mounted on the transom of the boat and after we installed the 5" set back box and increased the pitch of the propeller the test boat ran 102 MPH.
