Dart designed the Iron Eagle big block heads for high performance marine applications. They developed two rectangular ports: a high-velocity 308cc intake runner that produces incredible torque and a 345cc version that’s perfect for big-inch, high-rpm Rat motors. The Iron Eagle’s raised exhaust port out performs its cast-iron competition but still fits most standard headers.

Their dedicated tooling allows them to cast the ports with incredible precision so you get maximum flow without spending big bucks on porting. They rotated the valve angles two degrees and duplicated the efficient heart-shaped combustion chambers originally developed for their championship-winning Race Series aluminum heads.

Iron Eagle big block heads have standard features you won’t find in factory castings and after market replacement heads. Premium bronze valve guides, multi-angle intake valve seats, and hardened and radiused exhaust seats are included with every Iron Eagle head.

Marine-Duty Performer RPM 454-O and 454-R

Designed for 396-502 cid big block Chevy engines, these heads include heavy-duty, 1.89" Inconel exhaust valves that provide the added durability needed for marine applications and have one-piece stainless steel 2.25" intake valves with hardened tips and swirl-polished heads. The high-velocity flow capabilities of Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads provide increased torque across a wide rpm range that's ideal for marine use. Cast from A356 aluminum and heat-treated to T6 specs. The oval-port heads have 110cc chambers and the rectangular port heads have 118cc chambers. Both the oval and rectangular port heads are hard anodized to protect the aluminum in the harsh marine environment. Edelbrock Big Block Chevy marine heads are sold with seals and valves only for a variety of combinations. Match with a proven Harden Marine Cam Kit for the ultimate in performance and value.
