A number of companies have tried to copy this Hardin Marine cover by building sand cast copies. There's a difference if you look at their wavy, pin holed, porous covers you'll see that the Hardin Marine "XS" Xtreme cover is a beautiful die cast cover with no waves and no blemishes. So if you're looking for the best 1-piece cover this is it. This cover has been specially designed to fit marine Big Block Chevy engine with center rise exhaust. Angling one side of the cover helps to access the 2 lower center bolts while maintaining enough valve cover height to run roller rockers and stud girdles. One of the covers has a billet screw in -16AN oil fill.

These start out as the awesome "XS" Xtreme series valve cover above except they have dual baffled tubes machined and welded into them. Then a K&N style breather is installed. This provides maximum crank case ventilation on high revving performance engines. One of the covers features a billet o-ringed screw in oil cap for fast access.

This cover features enough height to run roller rocker arms while its smooth rounded edges clear center rise exhaust systems. Hardin Marine has introduced these new low profile valve covers for late model small block Chevy/GMC V-8's. The die cast covers fit 1987 and newer Chevy cylinder heads with center hold-down bolts. They are ideal for high performance power boats. The aluminum covers are available taller than stock. Unlike factory covers, the bolt towers are machined to clear roller rocker arms.
