All steel: The choice for all-around performance applications.
All steel dampers have an alloy steel inner hub and an inertia ring
machined from cold-drawn carbon steel tubing. In almost all instances, this
assembly weighs less than OEM damper. All steel dampers are ideal for
performance applications and racing classes. In order to provide the proper
counterweight mass, dampers for all externally balanced engines must be all steel
construction. Through careful design and computer controlled machining,
externally balanced dampers are also the lightest available for these applications.
