D/S Series 4.000 Stroke Big Block Chevy Crankshaft
Center main bearing counterweights are standard on all big block Chevy D/S crankshafts. Counterweights are cammed for a 6.535" rod on 4.250" stroke shaft while 4.000" stroke shafts are cut for 6.385" rod length. Dual woodruff keyways are located in the stock GM damper and gear fit positions. For improved throttle response and reduced bearing loads, number 1 and 4 rod journals are lightening drilled. All journals are ground with Callies .125" Tru-form fillet radii as a standard. These crankshafts feature the very latest technology at an affordable price.

All journals have .125" Tru-Form fillet radii. 1" Angalite lightening holes in all rod throws. Callies Perma-Toughs these cranks to a depth of .080". This produces a wear layer that remains intact even if reground .060" under (other cranks have a hardness depth as little as ,003"). Journals are micro-finished to 5 microns or better. The best forgings, the best machining, and Perma-Tough hardening just what you would expect from a quality part.
